Brian Hicks has been inspiring audiences for nearly 20 years, though he is quick to point out that he is “not your father’s motivational speaker.” In fact, he would argue he’s not a motivational speaker at all. He doesn’t walk on hot coals, nor does he teach any habits or laws. He instead teaches simple, time-tested practical principles based on his experience training and managing independent salespeople for nearly 2 decades.

Known across the country for his humor and high energy, Brian's delivery is entertaining; His content is honest and engaging, and his “down home” practical application leaves his audiences ready to astound themselves every day!

He spent 20 years with the Fortune 200 insurer, Aflac - 15 of them as a manager and top trainer. In fact, for 11 years he was responsible for training independent sales associates and managers in two of the company's top state operations (Tennessee & Alabama/West Florida), helping lead the Alabama/West Florida group to become the #1 producing sales operation in the company in 2007 & 2008, with combined sales in those 2 years topping $85 million!

Believing that the organization cannot grow without growing the individuals in it, Brian seeks to develop long-lasting relationships to impact both individuals and the whole as they work to exceed even their most ambitious goals. That's why he created The Tinderbox Tapes™ Club, an online personal development membership club, named for his first book.

And he knows about changing organizational culture! From 1995 to 1998, Brian was the lead trainer and manager in the effort to convert Aflac's field force to a paperless insurance application system, called SmartApp®. At that time, most of the company's independent agents couldn't even type, and most people predicted the initiative would fail. Yet the effort was so successful that the system was recognized by The Smithsonian Institute, and Brian became known as "The Billy Graham of SmartApp®."

It doesn't take long to understand why Brian Hicks is consistently asked back as a return speaker by many of his clients, and why audience members refer to him as "a natural," “the best,” and "entertaining, informative & inspirational."
